Evaluation of existing production processes utilizing knowledge of product design, lean manufacturing, assembly and test methods, and quality control standards. Works through positive interpersonal skills and is a creative problem-solver.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
(include, but not limited to): Implement Quality protocols through hands-on practice and development of tools, layout, work instructions, and training of assembly personnel Interface closely with Quality Engineer on the development of QC protocols and improvement of existing QC protocols Build prototypes including machining parts; and, provide redesign improvements and value engineering Systematically evaluate assembly processes; then, develop and apply improvements Lead the development of assembly processes for new products via systematic and thorough methodology Validate and quality production processes and tooling Add value to RCAs initiated from customers; as well as RCA promulgated by vendors' output Interface with customers and vendors and enhancing relationships through your approach and methods Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Coordinate maintenance and repair services for equipment per manufacturer's recommendations; requesting special service as needed Anticipating capacity needs and developing plans to meet growth projections Maintain professional and technical knowledge via educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, professional societies ISO, FDA, EPA, and OSHA compliance within your scope of work Evaluate key supplier technical capability DMR and MRB support
Educational and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in manufacturing Offshore manufacturing preferred Machining, Die Casting, Injection Molding, and Sheet Metal Design Manufacturability Effective written and interpersonal communication CAD experience is required, SolidWorks preferred Strong competency in spreadsheets and word processing Available to travel internationally (30%-50%) Competent use of measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and voltmeters General knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able for sit for long periods of time at a computer workstation

Work Schedule:
Ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed. Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected. No more than 40 unexcused hours per calendar year

$76,960.00 - $123,801.00 per year
