Position Summary TransducerWorks, a premier medical device contract manufacturer based in Centre Hall, PA, is seeking an experienced and collaborative Transducer Design Engineer. In this role, you will be part of the local R&D Team but also work collaboratively with the Vermon Group R&D team in France. Key Responsibilities Design and review printed circuit boards (rigid and flexible) Support prototype development through all phases including - design reviews and post build reviews. Provide engineering technical support to medical, industrial, and commercial customers. Design mechanical components, assemblies, and tooling with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability, and cost. Interact with technical and non-technical audiences in problem solving settings Work on mechanical designs with high level of complexity and component assemblies or sub-assemblies using CAD models. Structure and process technical changes within the quality system Provide hands-on mentorship and leadership to junior engineers
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years' experience within the ultrasound industry. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education based on the individual candidate. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in SolidWorks, PADS, AutoCAD, or related CAD software. Comprehensive understanding of general ultrasound engineering concepts. Practical fundamental understanding of dimensional measurement systems and tolerance techniques (GD&T) Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ultrasound build, materials, and related processes. Understanding of cable assemblies, pinout identification and troubleshooting
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship (H-1B visa, etc.) is not available for this position. Preferred Qualification Experience working within or monitoring controlled environments / cleanrooms. Physical Demands & Work Environment (ADA Compliance) Must be able to regularly access and move about the manufacturing floor and enter controlled environments. Must be capable of complying with cleanroom gowning requirements, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hairnets, gowns, gloves, and face mask.
