Job Description
Our client is a 100+ year-old American manufacturer of high-quality commercial furniture and a 100% employee-owned company. We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations & Engineering Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our high-volume manufacturing facility in Conneautville, PA. This hands-on role works across manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, purchasing, shipping, maintenance, and other departments to improve processes and solve operational challenges. The position offers significant variety and the chance to take ownership of projects that impact the company's operations. Responsibilities Support product and process improvements across furniture components and manufacturing processes Investigate quality and production issues and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions Create and maintain drawings, measurements, specifications, work instructions, and SOPs Support inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, material identification, and productstorage Identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory, material waste, scrap, rework, damage,downtime, and unnecessary handling Coordinate information and priorities across production, sales, customer service, purchasing,shipping, and management Assist with production, operational, and special projects throughout the facility Support maintenance planning for CNC equipment, production equipment, vehicles, buildings,and other facility assets Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers as needed Assist with quality inspections, checklists, and continuous improvement initiatives Support projects involving warehouse layout, preventative maintenance, product modifications,new product development, materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes Skills / Requirements Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and common business software Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience with inventory management, ERP systems, Excel/data tracking, or manufacturingequipment preferred Familiarity with technical drawings, measuring tools, CAD, product development, processimprovement, or quality control is a plus Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, business,or a related field preferred but not required
