What You Will Do:
The successful candidate is expected to evaluate, create and implement manufacturing methodologies with in the heavy equipment industry. You will be responsible for creating written detailed instructions for assembly, machining, welding, manufacturing, and etc. to produce the finished product. You will modify existing instruction documents or create new instructions to implement changes made in the product or production line. This would include creating new pictures or modifying existing digital pictures, drawings, and specification to create the new instruction documents. You will also be challenged with compiling complete assembly history documentation at the end of the cycle as well. You will work with multiple departments and stakeholders to accomplish the job. Develop Manufacturing Instructions. Create Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. Navigate the Team Center to access and retrieve documentation. Instruct and train the production line personnel to follow developed instructions Use existing documents as a guide to create the new instruction to the new procedures. Document specifications for assembly of product and include in the instructions Detail the process and steps required for machining or fabrication of parts and components Explain the equipment specifications and explain how they relate to manufacturing the product Retrieve and insert drawings, specifications, into the instructions at the appropriate locations Create sketches and solid models of design concepts Compile complete manufacturing history books for each product shipped.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Capability to climb stairs to safely access and perform analysis on shop floor equipment, in test cells, and on board heavy equipment Capability of and comfortable to safely work around high voltage electrical equipment Capability to quickly evaluate, create and implement manufacturing methodologies in a fast paced environment Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Exposure to heavy equipment manufacturing is highly desired. A desire to work in a fast paced, creative environment and enjoy people and dynamic teams with diverse experiences. We have fun together!
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Erie, PA. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
