The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams, as well as manufacturing facilities and suppliers, to ensure manufactured and purchased products meet all requirements. Schedule Full time. Compensation $75,000 to $105,000 per year, plus quarterly bonuses. What You'll Do The Quality Engineer performs lab testing and organizational tasks with guidance from Engineering, applying engineering principles to perform accurate calculations and analyses and determine the necessary tools for testing setups. This person assists with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products, interprets product drawings, specifications, and material requirements, and prepares emails or reports conveying technical requirements and lab testing results. The role includes interpreting specification requirements from regulatory or industry standards, supporting the creation and organization of technical documents, and participating in vendor auditing and communication to support the purchasing of quality product and vendor development. This person assists with quality audits and product testing as assigned, uses or learns to use lab machines such as tensile and hardness testers, determines proper test fixturing for industry standard testing or specific part issues, and prepares samples for testing using saws, shears, bench grinders, and mills. The role also involves maintaining organization of the lab and incoming part storage, and supporting a system for sample part retention by part type and supplier.
