About the role:
Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications. LI-Hybrid Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure seismic integrity and ease of manufacturing. This includes creating 3D models and design packages for cabinets, internal custom metal work, fastener design and fabrication.
Support the design of cabinet hardware electrical applications and assemblies, including cabinet, console or panel layout drawings for I&C products.
Manage Bill of Material and revision control of mechanical design packages.
Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, design, testing and manufacturing of I&C hardware products.
Interface with suppliers and/or manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.
Interface with engineering organizations and third-party test facilities in conducting equipment qualification tests.
Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products.
Provide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issues
Opportunities to travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international).
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
1+ years of experience with sheet metal design
Knowledge of AWS (or equivalent) welding requirements
General knowledge of sheet metal welding
Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault (or similar) experience
Experience with Geometric Tolerances and Dimensions (ASME Y14.5) We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
