Company Description Manufacturing Technology Support helps small and mid-sized manufacturers build practical improvement roadmaps that deliver measurable returns on investment. The team works directly with manufacturers across New England, focusing on solutions grounded in APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 principles. Using best-in-class platforms such as SAP, NoMuda VisualFactory, Tulip Interfaces, MaintainX, Litmus, Telit Cinterion, Inductive Automation, HighByte, and Ramen Inc., the company demonstrates ways to modernize manufacturing infrastructure. These solutions are designed to integrate with existing legacy systems, making technology upgrades realistic and sustainable for manufacturers.
Role Description People:
Develop industry relationships and leadership experience. Learn manufacturing and IT functions, responsibilities, and organizational culture. Build relationships with operations, engineering, and business professionals. Attend networking calls, conferences, factory tours, and industry events. Strengthen communication, influence, and leadership skills.
Process:
Learn how world-class manufacturers operate. Apply supply chain network design, planning, materials management, and sourcing strategies. Develop manufacturing and quality engineering skills. Implement Lean Six Sigma across the shop floor and back office. Develop proficiency in IT, OT, and project management processes.
Technology:
Apply practical Industry 4.0 fundamentals. Integrate ERP, MES, SCADA, HMIs, and Industrial IoT devices on a secure industrial network. Develop working prototypes using
OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, REST
APIs, MCP, and related technologies. Demonstrate industrial data operations fundamentals, including contextualization, modeling, and data storage. Build manufacturing KPI dashboards and advanced analytics.
Qualifications & Requirements Role Requirements:
At least a 3rd-year undergraduate student. Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. Demonstrated interest in manufacturing, technology, and leadership. Strong communication skills and actively developing a personal brand. Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Internship Schedule:
Project-based assignments. Part-time internship — less than 10 hours/week. September 1, 2026 - May 1, 2027. Flexible remote schedule.
