Job Description

Position Summary As a Manufacturing Engineer at Anderson Specialty Industries (ASI), you will work within our Design and Innovation Group to develop product and process improvements for both sales (estimating) and the manufacturing systems for all ASI brands and facilities. This role offers growth as you help shape our evolving design processes and automation systems to better serve our customers. About ASI Since 1980, ASI (Chaska, MN) has been an industry leader in manufacturing acoustic and architectural solutions for residential and commercial clients through our brands Acoustical Surfaces, Inc., ASI Architectural, Material Logiq, Acoustic Geometry, and Climate Seal.           We go beyond expectations for both peers and clients Primary Responsibilities Develop processes and systems to streamline manufacturing and sales workflows Assist in developing and implementing CAD/CAM workflows and processes Assist in designing, developing, and managing customer-specific project assets, including 3D CAD models, 2D drawing sets, and production schedules. Assists with development of new products Required Qualifications A degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering, product design, or related field CAM programming and processing Minimum of 2 years of CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360 and/or
          SOLIDWORKS
          is preferred) Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in related field Proficient in reading architectural/design and mechanical plans Able to communicate through hand-sketches Self-starter; leadership and project management skills. Detail oriented with a strong sense of timeliness and customer service Highly organized and able to collaborate constructively with customers, peers, and vendors Problem-solving, listening, conflict management, and time-management skills Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Self-energized, self-starter, innovative, analytical, and team player Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Office 365, and Bluebeam Open to learning ASI's processes, tools, and systems Desired Qualifications Experience with developing and using CAD automation tools/processes (Inventor/iLogic, Rhino/Grasshopper)
          • Knowledge of acoustic principles and materials (training provided)

          • Hourly compensation range $36.05 -$57.69

          • Role offers flexible hybrid; in office and remote working conditions (Twin Cities, MN area)
          • Monday through Friday between 8am - 4:30pm
          • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
          • Periodic weekend or evening work may be required
          • Limited travel as needed for client projects
          • Non-supervisory position
