$56.00•$95.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model:
Remote•offsite Responsibilities Design solutions for reactor structures and components, including the rotatable plug assembly equipment, from requirements through final design Coordinate inputs and requirements from Engineering and Project teams to develop equipment and component design solutions Perform scoping analysis and calculations for various design options Interface with engineering analysis activities and present design results for reviews Assess the technical merit of solutions and lead design reviews Collaborate with equipment suppliers to resolve design and fabrication issues Apply nuclear industry best practices to maintain high-quality engineering design and suggest process improvements Requirements B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum of eight years of equipment/component design experience; relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience) Extensive experience with equipment and component design, including familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III Experience writing detailed design specifications Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) Proficiency in finite element stress analysis, mechanical analysis, and tools like ANSYS Excellent writing and communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities Ability to independently solve challenging problems and work on multiple tasks concurrently Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks preferred High level of trust, integrity, and teamwork orientation Preferred skills include experience with slewing ring bearings and elastomeric seals System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
