Job Description

Röchling Automotive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to support a manufacturing floor digitalization initiative at our Duncan, SC facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in quality engineering, visual management systems, training development, and manufacturing process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in transitioning the plant from manual quality boards and static work instructions to digital, TV-based visual management systems across manufacturing operations Update, revise, and standardize digital work instructions for manufacturing equipment and processes.
Create visual quality materials including:
Defect catalogs Quality alerts GIFs and visual aids Operator training content Support the installation and implementation of digital display systems throughout the manufacturing floor. Assist with shop floor digitalization projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Train lead operators and supervisors on the use and sustainment of digital quality management tools. Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Operations teams to improve communication and process effectiveness.
Currently pursuing a degree in:
Quality Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Information Technology Related engineering or technical field Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC). Experience with SharePoint. Interest in manufacturing quality systems, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
