Contract Details:

Contract position $36.00 /annually First Shift Support manufacturing operations by developing, improving, and maintaining efficient production processes for automotive seating systems .Lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost reduction. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and APQP-related documentation. Support new product launches including equipment installation, process validation, line setup, and production readiness activities. Analyze production data, downtime, scrap, and process performance to identify improvement opportunities Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis. Support tooling, fixtures, equipment improvements, and process changes to enhance efficiency and process capability. Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform process capability studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical and production concerns. Process Engineer - Seating - 3-6mo

Contract Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field) preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered. 2+ years of process engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience supporting automotive assembly, seating, interiors, plastics, or related manufacturing processes preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, tooling, and process optimization. Experience with APQP Core Tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, PPAP, SPC, and MSA. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience troubleshooting production issues and implementing sustainable process improvements.
