$65.00 to $74.00 per hour Your Impact As a Payload Systems Design Engineer, you will serve as a central figure in aircraft innovation. You will be responsible for the development and integration of both passenger-facing features and essential behind-the-scenes components, ensuring that every element from initial concept through final certification and production meets high standards for safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities Draft, integrate, and maintain technical requirements for aircraft payload systems, including structural components and interior elements. Utilize 3D CAD software to generate precise product definitions and design modifications. Ensure system reliability and performance through rigorous testing and analytical validation. Coordinate with external suppliers to oversee the successful development, testing, and manufacturing of components. Refine designs to enhance overall program efficiency and ensure they are optimized for manufacturability. Facilitate the certification process to ensure all designs strictly adhere to aviation regulatory standards. Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including production, leadership, and project engineering teams. Contribute to the development of galleys, lavatories, lighting, livery, and cargo configuration systems to improve the passenger environment. Foster innovation by introducing new design concepts, tools, and improved engineering processes. Maintain a competitive edge by researching and implementing cutting-edge industry technologies. Qualifications Required Background Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Civil, or Aeronautical engineering. Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience focused on design, integration, or certification. Comprehensive understanding of product lifecycle management and fundamental engineering principles. Self-motivated professional capable of working independently within a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Preferred Expertise Familiarity with EASA or FAA Title 14 Part 25 regulatory requirements. Experience in production integration and design for manufacturing methodologies. Proven background in project or program management, including resource planning, risk mitigation, and scheduling. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage collaborative relationships with suppliers.
