Caterpillar's EMD division is hiring for Associate Design Engineer in Rapid City, SD!Role Summary:
This role is responsible for coordinating the implementation of engineering changes and releases in assigned areas, utilizing the Global Engineering Change (GEC) process within the Teamcenter engineering application. This role focuses on the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the engineering release process in accordance with the engineering standards and specifications. What You'll Do (Job Duties) Coordinates engineering changes and releases in the Teamcenter engineering application Provides quality reviews of engineering CAD files including models, drawings, notices and supporting geometry items for conformance to Engineering Standards and Specifications Manages multiple complex tasks independently and participates in multiple collaborative projects Performs user acceptance testing for Product Lifecycle Management applications Assists engineering process partners with Teamcenter captain support and providing training on new/existing applications Delivers quality and efficiency process improvements for engineering change and release activities What You Have (Core Skills)Degree Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields and/or 3+ years of experienceAnalytical Thinking:
Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Managing Multiple Priorities:
Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Technical Excellence:
Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Computer-Aided Design & Engineering:
Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.Product Design and Development:
Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production. Top Candidates Will Also Have Experience with the Teamcenter engineering end to end process and utilization of engineering applications Nice to have Creo and/or Teamcenter. Product development experience with requirements documentation, user acceptance testing and collaboration on Engineering Product Lifecycle Management projects. Knowledge of Caterpillar Engineering Standards and Specifications Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering clients and process partners Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAdditional Details Location:

$72,360.00 - $108,540.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
