Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
At IPS, the Design Engineer is responsible for assisting the sales and operations teams with designing, drawing, and commissioning all integration projects assigned by Executive Director of Integration. The main objective is to create fully functioning systems and drawings that the IPS team can use for design proposals and execution of the project. The Design Engineer will also help the integration team with commissioning of systems to verify they are fully functioning according to the design presented to the client.TOP THREE ROLES

Work alongside Account Managers and Operations teams to create system designs and drawings. Consult and offer solutions to Account Managers as needed. Communicate with clients, contractors, crew onsite or in meetings, as necessary. Communicate with clients as necessary to support and clarify changes in scope of work. Schedule commissioning of systems with installation team, clients and coordinate with other trades if needed Assist in the development of proposals for new installations, additions, expansions, modifications, updates, upgrades and other miscellaneous project work. Provide assistance when it is an 'all hands-on deck' install or when coordinating special projects. Other duties as assigned.TRAVEL:
Must be available for up to 25 percent travel and work flexible hours.QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to manage relationships with Executive level clients and represent IPS well. Ability to design high level AVL systems and convert those designs to drawing sets. Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. Self-motivated with ability to learn and adapt. Competent in VectorWorks, Revit, or AutoCAD, CRM
applications, email, etc. Valid driver's license.Benefits
