SCREENING QUESTIONS

Position Overview We are seeking highly skilled Design Engineers to support the new automated assembly system projects. Designers in this role will independently execute complex mechanical designs, collaborate closely with Project Engineers during design reviews, and contribute high‐quality technical solutions within fast-paced project timelines. Key Responsibilities Perform complex mechanical design for custom automated assembly equipment using SolidWorks and Windchill. Independently evaluate, select, and apply both standard and advanced engineering principles to solve design challenges. Adapt or modify established methods for non‐routine or complex assignments. Own the design of assigned equipment—from initial layout through detailed component development. Participate in formal design reviews with Project Engineers; incorporate feedback and respond constructively to critique. Ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, safety, and alignment with project requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally to support mechanical, controls, and systems integration. Provide technical judgment and design rigor without taking on project management or leadership responsibilities. Qualifications 6+ years of experience designing automated assembly systems. Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks (required) and Windchill (preferred). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, automation, component selection, and system-level design. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high-paced environment with minimal oversight. Capable of producing accurate, complete mechanical designs under tight deadlines. Must be receptive to continuous design feedback and capable of adjusting work accordingly. Work Environment & Expectations 40+ hours per week; flexible arrival between 6-8 AM. Heavy design role with no project leadership responsibilities. Start DateEnd Date:
