Full-Time Manufacturing Engineer | Automotive Manufacturing Preferred | Portland, TN All-Star Personnel is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for an exciting and growing manufacturing company in Portland, Tennessee . Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred, but candidates from other high-volume manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in improving manufacturing operations by increasing efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, and supporting production teams. Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes. Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Analyze production data to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Support new product launches and manufacturing readiness. Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Recommend improvements to equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation. Conduct process capability studies, time studies, and workflow analysis. Support APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP activities when applicable. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Participate in capital projects and equipment installations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field. 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred. Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Experience improving manufacturing processes and production efficiency. CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) preferred. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is a plus. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Automotive or Tier 1/Tier 2 manufacturing Assembly manufacturing Robotics and industrial automation CNC machining or fabrication Process engineering Quality systems (ISO 9001 and/or
IATF 16949
