McKinney, Texas $130k - $170k DOE RPM Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Engineering Manager in McKinney, Texas! The ideal candidate will lead the engineering team driving innovation, delivering high-quality products, and supporting cross-functional success. This is a key leadership position responsible for new product development, sustaining existing products, and partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations, and customers to bring cutting-edge technologies to market. What You'll Do Product Development Provide strong leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary engineering team Collaborate with Product Managers, Sales/Business Development, Systems Engineering, and customers to define requirements and make informed trade-offs Plan, organize, and drive engineering efforts to meet project goals Guide the team in developing detailed, high-quality designs that deliver on performance, schedule, and cost targets Ensure all product designs are thoroughly documented and maintained Manage and allocate engineering resources effectively, communicating schedule impacts proactively Partner with executive leadership, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Sales teams to shape our technology and innovation roadmap Team Leadership & Development Oversee personnel management, including hiring, performance, and career growth Foster a culture of excellence through employee development, team building, coaching, and mentoring Engineering Support to Sales & Product Management Ensure timely and effective engineering support for Sales and Product Management initiatives Contribute to proposal and quoting activities Provide expert technical guidance to PLM and Sales teams Quality & Compliance Oversee Configuration Management processes and champion best practices Implement and maintain AS9100 requirements throughout the design process Engineering Support to Manufacturing & Operations Support the design and development of manufacturing tools and processes for new products Resolve manufacturing and procurement issues related to product design Provide seamless engineering support during new product introductions into production
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams Proven track record leading new product development from concept through production Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly documentation Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent) Strong working knowledge of
AS9100, PLM
systems, configuration management, and engineering change processes Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills U.S.
Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred Skills:
Experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace or similar) Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and innovation processes Why Join Us?
