Test Engineer Job Purpose:
Sanmina is looking for a Test Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Carrollton, TX. The Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting functional testing for Telecom, RF, Industrial, and Medical products. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities, adapt to new technologies, provide technical leadership on major projects, articulate concepts clearly and accurately.
Nature of Duties:
Learn new products and support setup and launch of test operations Work with customer to setup and verify new testers Train, mentor, and support test technicians Troubleshoot tester hardware and software issues and work with customer to support to resolve Analyze and improve test yields and implement best practices for test processes Analyze failure data, summarize, and present analysis to customer engineering team Implement and verify test software upgrades Maintain backups of test programs and test data Review, implement, and track Engineering Change Orders that impact testing Support testing process (time studies, data collection/analysis, special customer requests, etc) for quotes, trials, and process improvements Identify and recommend cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and quality improvements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree or experience 2-5 years experience supporting manufacturing test operations, including test hardware and software Software programming skills is a plus Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications Advanced skills in MS Excel is a plus, including creating formulas, macros, and charting Working knowledge of 5S Lean Six Sigma practices Ability to follow oral and written guidelines Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Detail oriented Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer -
