Job Description
We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Project Engineer immediately to lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives across production operations. The candidate will manage multiple projects from concept through implementation, partnering with production, engineering, and leadership teams to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead projects focused on improving productivity, quality, throughput, and cost performance. Manage capital equipment and process improvement projects from planning and budgeting through execution and validation. Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and operational efficiency. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement efforts. Facilitate Kaizen events and cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements. Monitor project results and ensure gains are maintained over time. Collaborate with production teams to improve process capability, reduce waste, and achieve operational goals. Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term operational planning. Required Qualifications 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously. Track record of delivering process improvements, cost savings, and CapEx projects. Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar operational excellence tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience in stamping, die casting, molding, or other high-volume manufacturing environments. Lean and/or Six Sigma certification. Experience collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, and production leadership teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denison, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
