The Manufacturing CNC Lathe performs both routine and non-routine, moderately complex CNC functions following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate production.

YOU'LL DO

Primary duty is to set-up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to customer requirements. Must be able to work in a high-volume environment. Must be able to read basic blueprints and perform basic job shop mathematical calculations. Familiar with CNC operation and possess a basic understanding of set-ups, tooling, and programming concepts, as well as feeds and speeds. Must be able to follow written instructions and to work with little supervision. Basic understanding of true position tolerance and Cartesian coordinate systems. Cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent damage or loss.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum 3 years CNC job shop experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Requires frequent bending, reaching and lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
