£45,000 - £55,000 Are you a Security Solutions Design Engineer based in Glasgow looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Solutions Design Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering corporate security system designs across a broad estate, producing detailed specifications and requirements documentation, and ensuring designs meet both local and global architecture standards across high-profile infrastructure and utility environments. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret corporate security strategies, ensuring tendered project designs align with global model direction and business objectives.
- Create detailed specifications from Risk Assessment Documents for use by downstream design teams.
- Develop and maintain Security Solutions Requirements documentation using established corporate templates, models, and frameworks.
- Liaise with Security Operations, Projects, and IT stakeholders to secure design approvals and ensure full alignment across teams.
- Provide expert technical input on security and fire management applications, access control, CCTV, intruder alarm systems, and digital communication technologies.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to corporate and global architecture standards, including
BS 9999, ISO 27000
series, andISA/IEC 62443.
Experience and Certifications required:- Proven experience in security systems design or security solutions engineering within a corporate or utility environment.
- Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems, with experience using security management applications.
- Ability to translate risk assessment findings into clear, detailed technical specifications.
- Solid understanding of relevant standards including
BS 9999, ISO 27000
series, andISA/IEC 62443.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Membership of the Security Institute or ASIS International (desirable).
