About the Role As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will serve as a technical catalyst for operational excellence within a high-output industrial facility. You will leverage data-driven insights and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize production reliability, enhance quality standards, and drive sustainable growth across our core manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Spearhead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives to elevate performance metrics within the melt shop and broader production environment. Utilize advanced data analysis to identify process bottlenecks, perform root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions that minimize variation. Oversee the lifecycle of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and integration into existing workflows. Standardize operational best practices and develop robust systems to ensure long-term process stability and efficiency. Partner cross-functionally with maintenance and production leadership to refine equipment reliability and optimize overall plant throughput. Mentor staff on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and failure analysis tools to foster a culture of proactive problem-solving. Provide expert technical guidance to drive strategic business goals and support environmental and safety compliance initiatives. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field with 3-5 years of experience in heavy industrial or process manufacturing. Demonstrated success in leading process optimization projects and managing capital investments. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality improvement frameworks. Strong technical aptitude in data manipulation and root cause analysis. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence change across all organizational levels. Preferred Skills Direct experience in steelmaking, melting, casting, or similar foundry operations. Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems. Advanced certification in Six Sigma or project management methodologies.
