Job Description
Experience:
Senior Level Salary:
$90,000 - $140,000 per year Job Details - Key Responsibilities & Duties Lead development of new and existing ceramic thermal processes using DOE, profile development, and lab analysis. Drive process improvements impacting yield, capacity, cycle time, and cost. Build standardization in the kiln department (SOPs, workflows, noncompliance processes, production boards). Support and optimize machine and material process parameters using LEAN, DOE, and statistical analysis. Troubleshoot thermal processing issues and implement sustainable corrective actions. Provide technical support for manufacturing disruptions and long-term countermeasures. Train staff on thermal processing concepts and best practices. Manage refractory material selection, performance monitoring, and ordering. Support maintenance with best practices, stocking guidelines, and repair strategies. Interface with vendors and contractors to ensure kiln performance and reliability. Stay current with kiln hardware and controls (combustion and electric systems). Identify areas where additional process controls or detection methods are needed. Assist commercial teams with customer production build programs. Provide after-hours support as needed. Needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, or Ceramic Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience with electronics and/or combustion equipment. Background in process engineering and process design. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. Experience with thermal processing, sintering, and firing cycle development (desired). Experience with PID/PLC controllers (desired). Working knowledge of AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical (desired). Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in small groups. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.A bit about us:
