About Our Client This position is with a well-established, growing Industrial Manufacturing company based out of the Lyndonville, VT area. Known for its innovative practices and commitment to quality, the organization focuses on delivering high-quality products and solutions to its clients across various industries. Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer will: Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities for machined components from quotation through production launch. Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications to ensure manufacturability and process capability. Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders. Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Support machine set-up activities and troubleshoot machining challenges during production. Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to resolve process and quality issues. Maintain process documentation, tooling records, and machining parameters. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times, scrap, tooling costs, and material waste. Collaborate with engineering, estimating, quality, production, sales, and customer service teams to achieve operational objectives. Train and mentor production personnel on machining best practices, process controls, and operational improvements. Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will possess strong CNC machining and manufacturing engineering experience gained within a precision manufacturing environment. They will be comfortable working cross-functionally, solving technical challenges, and leading process improvement initiatives.
Key requirements include:
Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience programming and operating CNC machinery. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and manufacturing materials. Proficiency using CAD software to interpret and create engineering drawings and models. Knowledge of quality systems, process controls, and manufacturing safety standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams to improve manufacturability and production outcomes.
