Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Level Manufacturing Engineer to support the Fabrication division in Auburn, WA. A successful candidate will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable drive for process improvement and efficiency. They should also enjoy being on the factory floor, interacting with mechanics, and directly supporting the production system. The manufacturing Engineer will lead systemic improvements in our work instruction processes. This position will translate new process requirements and apply them to training multiple teams in process improvements. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. Experience with project management, root cause analysis, and machining operations is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment Pay Rate Range 50 - 55 USD hourly
