Develops and maintains cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, and antennas. Analyzes results and performs design reviews for wire harness and electrical systems. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies including rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests. Documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic statements of work for electrical design tasks. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Performs wire routing design throughout the airplane using 3D modeling and Catia V5. Works on wire installation projects for electrical design programs.Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In theUSA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 5+ years of experience in wire harness design or electrical design engineering. Experience with Catia V5 for 3D modeling and wire routing design. Experience in 3D modeling for electrical product and harness designs. Experience with wire routing design throughout aircraft. Experience developing and maintaining cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs. Experience providing engineering design disposition on discrepancies. Experience documenting processes, specifications, and procedures for electrical commodities. Experience analyzing functional and physical input for integrated design development. Experience with electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs including equipment racks, power panels, and antennas.About Us:
