Job Description

Assist in writing, revising, and standardizing SOPs for manufacturing and support processes Observe production activities and collaborate with operators and engineers to accurately document procedures Ensure SOPs align with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Collect and organize production data (e.g., throughput, yields, downtime, quality metrics) Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in manufacturing performance Provide engineering support to day‑to‑day manufacturing operations Assist with troubleshooting process deviations, equipment issues, and documentation gaps Support implementation of process changes and validate updates to operating procedures Participate in lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow‑up tracking Assist with small improvement projects focused on safety, efficiency, cost reduction, or quality improvement Follow all plant safety rules and participate in safety training and meetings Support a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and improvement opportunities Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline Strong written communication skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and follow strict safety protocols The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Some college or better in Chemical Engineering or related field. Some college or better in Engineering or related field. Some college or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
