Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description This role focuses on optimizing production performance, supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, and driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, facilities, and continuous improvement teams to ensure stable, efficient, and capable manufacturing processes across tubing production operations including forming, welding, annealing, finishing, inspection, and packaging. Responsibilities Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production processes. Develop, document, and improve standard work, process parameters, and operating procedures. Support production troubleshooting related to process capability, equipment performance, scrap, and yield. Partner with maintenance and facilities teams to support equipment reliability, uptime, and preventive maintenance. Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Support new product introductions, process changes, and equipment installations. Participate in capital projects related to manufacturing equipment and process upgrades. Collaborate with quality teams on corrective actions, control plans, and audits. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and coaching to production supervisors and operators. Essential Skills 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline. Hands-on experience supporting production environments. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and process controls. Ability to analyze data and apply root cause and problem-solving methodologies. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing data systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing. Exposure to quality systems and regulated manufacturing environment. Experience supporting CAPEX projects or equipment installations. Quality and corrective action experience. Experience generating work instructions, weld instructions, and equipment setup charts. Tooling engineering and input with suppliers and supplier management. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma tools. Work Environment The work environment involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting. You will have access to modern manufacturing technologies and data systems, ensuring a dynamic and efficient work process. Standard office attire is expected when not in production areas. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
