The responsibility of the Caster Torch Operator includes, but is not limited to; ensuring the Roll mill receives a high quality product from the Caster by inspecting and measuring the dimension of the product, maintaining equipment of the area including the torches, ensuring the cast product is correct grade/chemistry and cut to proper length for orders as well as record keeping of inventory product. The Torch Operator is responsible for properly identifying bars with the proper tags and writing on the bars. Torch Operator also has the responsibility of communicating with the Roll mill, LMF, and Caster. This position will work in an extremely hot environment. The Torch Operator will be expected to work nights, weekends, holidays, and cover shift when needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Requirements:
