Responsibilities Operate packaging equipment and material handling machinery in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols Interpret production documents accurately to ensure correct assembly and processing of floral products Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control manufacturing processes efficiently Perform mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operation Handle materials safely using appropriate warehouse operations techniques, including heavy lifting and forklift operation when necessary Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and FDA regulations to maintain product safety and quality standards Conduct routine inspections of equipment and workspace to uphold safety standards in production environments Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of packaging equipment to ensure consistent product output Support manufacturing activities by adhering to safety standards in production, including proper use of materials handling equipment Experience Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, especially within a packaging or floral processing environment, is highly preferred Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations is advantageous Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment are essential for maintaining continuous production flow Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and quantities Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory with proper certification or training available on-site Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including safe lifting techniques and emergency procedures This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing setting while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
