Job Description

Production Operator (1st &2nd Shift) | Mesa, AZ Join a global leader in advanced materials! Avient Corporation in Mesa, Arizona is hiring a 1st & 2nd Shift Production Operator to support the manufacturing of Dyneema® — the world's strongest fiber. Schedule & Pay:
Shift:
1st shift Monday-Thursday, 4am-2:30pm
Shift:
2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 12:00pm-10:30pm
Pay:
Starting at $19.00/hour, paid weekly
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and adjust machinery per standard operating procedures to produce high-quality Dyneema® fiber. Monitor production, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate data and inventory records. Safely move and handle materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Report and respond to any safety, quality, or process concerns. Participate in safety (SHE) and improvement initiatives to keep operations efficient and compliant.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment (textiles, composites, or military technical experience preferred). Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and move materials safely and handle hazardous substances according to procedures. Basic computer skills (Word, Access), good attention to detail, and reliable communication skills. Forklift and crane certification a plus.
