Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut wires to specified lengths according to production drawings, BOMs, and cut sheets Verify wire gauge, color, and type meet specification requirements
• Bundle and label cut wires for each assembly or work order
• Strip wire insulation to specified lengths using approved tools Inspect stripped wire ends for nicks, cuts, or conductor damage
• Tin wire ends when required by specifications Apply wire labels, markers, and heat-shrink identifiers per engineering drawings
• Ensure all labeling accurately matches wire run designations Pre-stage connectors, terminals, lugs, and ferrules according to the BOM
• Crimp terminals onto wire ends using calibrated crimping tools, when authorized Perform pull tests on crimped connections in accordance with quality standards
• Assemble kits containing prepped wires, connectors, and hardware for each production order Stage completed kits at designated production workstations
• Verify kit completeness and accuracy prior to handoff
• Conduct visual inspections of all prepared wires and assemblies Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials
• Complete required documentation on travelers, checklists, and work orders accurately and timely
