Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles - battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects. What You'll Do Regularly collaborate with Design and Manufacturing engineers Support development and optimization of manufacturing processes, quality controls and equipment specifications Support the installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment Help develop training material, and train key personnel Support process and equipment validation, utilizing metrology, destructive, and non-destructive testing Help develop test criteria and collaborate on test fixture designs Maintain & pursue development equipment and facilities that are on the forefront of battery manufacturing technologies What You'll Bring 2+ years' work experience in a similar technical role Able to travel up to 30% in role Experience in high-volume manufacturing, transitioning complex products from prototype to production Proficient with hand-tools and fixture assembly Capability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally Experience in creating documentation and technical reports Understanding of electronic circuits and systems, conductors, isolators, dielectric materials, is a plus Experience with or exposure to CAD software 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks, CATIA) CAD is a plus Experience with conventional machining and other fabrication processes, 3D printing experience is a plus Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $33.60 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
