Job Description

Production System Assembly & Diagnostic Test Technician Overview Our client located in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Production Technician responsible for system-level assembly and execution of automated diagnostic tests on networking hardware. This role is part of a high-volume production environment and requires hands-on handling of large, heavy circuit boards and system chassis. No specialized electrical test tools are required; diagnostics are run through predefined software and automated test systems. Key Responsibilities Install, insert, and secure large electronic boards and modules into system chassis as part of the production test process. Execute automated diagnostic scripts and system checks using computer-based test interfaces (no test instruments required). Follow established production test procedures to validate board functionality and confirm pass/fail criteria. Remove boards from the chassis after completion of test cycles and prepare them for the next stage of production. Accurately record results, failures, and status updates in the production tracking system. Escalate failures or anomalies to engineering or lead technicians following established workflows. Maintain a clean and organized workstation and comply with all safety and ESD handling guidelines. Support continuous production flow by meeting daily output targets. Required Qualifications Prior experience in electronics production, assembly, system-level hardware handling, or related manufacturing roles. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. Comfortable operating computer-based test systems and navigating automated diagnostic software. Strong attention to detail and reliability in a high-volume production environment. Ability to work collaboratively with production, test, and engineering teams. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 30 lbs above waist level . Frequent insertion and removal of large boards from chassis throughout the shift. Schedule Full-time, Rotating 8-hour shifts (Morning/ Evening/ Night) ; schedule may vary based on production demand.
