California Resources Corporation is a publicly traded oil and natural gas exploration and production company and the largest oil and natural gas producer in California. We operate our world-class resource base exclusively within the State of California, applying complementary and integrated infrastructure to gather, process and market our production. Using advanced technology, CRC's workforce focuses on safely and responsibly supplying affordable energy for California by Californians. We are currently looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated individual with good communications skills to fill the position of Production Technician based in Taft, CA. The starting base wage for this posted position is $35 - $45 per hour, with a target annual bonus opportunity of 10% of wages paid. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform safe work permitting and practices, ensure regulatory compliance and reporting, and optimize production at designated work area or site Operate, monitor, and optimize all equipment in designated work area or site per established procedures Troubleshoot, resolve, report, and write work orders for issues affecting safety, environment, or operation at area or site Communicate work planning and prioritizing with location Operations Supervisor and, if necessary, other affected parties In-house maintenance, repairing, replacing parts as needed Collect and report data, and confirm all related reports are accurate Document shift activity and information to communicate area/site state to shift relief Specific job duties will vary by location and will be provided by your supervisor Complete training as directed Work as directed by the
Operations Supervisor Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Some work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or military service Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently Mechanical aptitude Ability to perform math functions such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and perform calculations involving fractions and percentages Basic proficiency with computers Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule: holidays, weekends, days/nights, callouts, and overtime Must be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed shoes, supplied-air respirator, etc. Basic analytical skills to identify problems and identify possible solutions to production or processing problems Must successfully complete a general aptitude and skill level assessment exam Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance
