Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the fabrication, assembly, validation, and continuous improvement of advanced aerospace hardware. This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and maintenance teams to support production builds, prototype development, test infrastructure, and flight-quality hardware. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings, procedures, and quality standards in a highly regulated technical environment. Responsibilities Perform fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and validation of critical aerospace hardware and related ground support equipment. Build and assemble hardware according to drawings, procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and internal training requirements. Support engineers with prototype builds, test setups, manufacturing documentation, and assembly/test procedure development. Assist with the creation, review, and improvement of assembly and test procedures. Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality teams. Work with manufacturing engineering to improve work orders, clarify process instructions, and support production efficiency. Coordinate with facilities and maintenance teams to ensure production equipment is properly maintained and repaired. Support continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing, production, quality, and process execution. Manage daily priorities while supporting longer-term project milestones and production schedules. Required Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; advanced technical training preferred. 2+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, space hardware, or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on fabrication, assembly, and general shop experience. Ability to follow detailed procedures, drawings, diagrams, and work instructions. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365. Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional late days or weekends to meet production or shipping deadlines. Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations. Hands-On Skills Experience or ability to learn the following: Reading and working from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures. Operating electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment. Using hand tools and shop tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools. Working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other common manufacturing chemicals. Taking direction from multiple team members while managing time and priorities effectively. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Additional Details Occasional local travel to vendors or suppliers may be required. This is a hands-on manufacturing role supporting advanced aerospace hardware in a technical production environment.
