Job Description
Amplified Geochemical Imaging (AGI) is currently looking to expand our team and is seeking a Laboratory & Manufacturing Technician for our Newark, DE location. AGI is an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited global provider of soil-gas laboratory services with more than 30 years of experience. AGI provides soil-gas measurements for environmental investigations, oil and gas exploration, CO₂ sequestration monitoring, and hydrogen detection using proprietary, ultrasensitive passive sampling modules/sensors. Our passive modules are manufactured and analyzed at our laboratory in Newark, Delaware. After field deployment, the modules are returned to the laboratory and analyzed using Automated Thermal Desorption (ATD), Gas Chromatography (GC), and Mass Spectrometry (MS). The modules are rapidly heated to release organic compounds collected by the adsorbent material, which are then separated by GC and identified and quantified by MS.
About the role:
Essential duties include working in our light manufacturing area and the laboratory to:- fabricate semi-permeable membranes,
- extrude polymeric adsorbents,
- QC batches of passive geochemical modules,
- Work with colleagues to fill module orders for large projects,
- Match received project materials with associated documentation for verification purposes,
- Clean and bake autosampler metal inserts,
- Load laboratory autosamplers,
- Comply with manufacturing and laboratory policies and procedures, including Safety and the Code of Conduct,
- Maintain high level of organization,
- Communicate effectively with team members,
- Complete other duties as assigned.
