MANTAS Manufacturing Technician Job Details:
- Job type: Full-time MARTAC is leading the transformation of unmanned surface vessel technology with trusted autonomous, networked systems that combine speed, range, maneuverability, and stealth.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with shop lead for daily work assignments.
- Follow all shop safety protocols and cleanliness requirements.
- Maintain shop equipment and maintenance logs where required.
- Ensure shop tasks are performed as directed, on schedule and to specification.
- Work with Quality Assurance and Engineering to ensure production standards are met.
- Follow MARTAC's policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- MARTAC will provide power and hydraulic tools.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in using hand, pneumatic, and power tools along with production equipment.
- Demonstratable electrical aptitude.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system layouts and specifications.
- Connect power-supply circuits to electronic devices, including radar, sonar, GPS, and communication equipment.
- Ability to use equipment such as voltmeters to diagnose and repair electrical faults.
- Thorough understanding of AC and DC electrical theory, including power distribution.
- Ability to use production fixtures, jigs, and templates.
- Install hardware such as cleats, latches and hatches.
- Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems.
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals.
- Must demonstrate record of dependability and reliability with prior work or professional experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and traverse steps and ladders.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma.
- 2 -5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in the marine, RV, or automotive industry.
- ABYC or NMEA certification is preferred.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Melbourne, FL 32934: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
