Job Description

Machine Line Operator Pay Rate:

$19.00

•$20.00 per hour

Shifts:

PM/AM shifts (7:00 PM

•7:00 AM or 7:00 AM

•7:00 PM)

Schedule:

Continental rotation (Sun/Wed/Thurs, then Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat) with mandatory weekend overtime when required

Role & Requirements Responsibilities:

Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on manufacturing/extrusion equipment while following safety and production standards.

Physical Demands:

Heavy lifting and continuous physical effort.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required (technical school certification preferred); 2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred, ideally with plastics extrusion or molding. The Machine Line Operator ensures the successful production of finished materials by adhering to all safety policies and protocols, operating machines and equipment at optimal performance levels, and performing minor maintenance tasks, thereby promoting worksite safety, product quality, and operational efficiency. Main responsibilities of the Machine Line Operator Ensures safe working practices are followed Ensures the production floor and all common areas are clean and prepared for the next shift Acquires the skills and knowledge to produce products that meet quality targets to minimize errors. Produces finished goods that meet or exceed customers' requirements and specifications. Documents all production counts, including rejects, regrinds, scrap material, and good product. Ensures all paperwork for production passport forms is completed, including capturing process deviations when changes occur. Acquires the skills and knowledge to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance of the manufacturing equipment. Acquires the skills and knowledge to start up and monitor machines: MMI (Man-Machine Interface), CM (Calculation of Maximum Output), stranding, pelletizing, classifying, and pack-out. Acquires the skills and knowledge to keep machines running efficiently through material replenishment and support equipment, setting feeder rates, cleaning feeders, super sack operations, vacuum pots, and more. Acquires the skills and knowledge to properly shut down machines. Acquires the skills and knowledge to perform product changeovers as called for by shop floor documents and verbal instructions. Demonstrates sense of urgency in owning line performance, offering assistance to others, and being responsive to changes in customer orders. Understands and follows the Time & Attendance Policy by reporting to work punctually, minimizing unplanned absences and early departures, and attending mandatory overtime as needed. Communicates effectively with all employees and promotes a team environment Skills Needed of the Machine Line Operator Must be prepared to work mandatory overtime. Ability to understand basic math. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be familiar with machine operations. Must be able to read and write English (Spanish is a plus). Must be dependable and have a good attendance record. Must be able to lift heavy material and handle physical effort (50 lbs) Responsible for the safety of others in the performance of job duties. Handle difficult situations effectively, resolving conflicts and problems. Must have good communication skills and the assertiveness to keep on top of documentation requirements. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a positive and productive team environment.

Pay:

$19.00

•$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
