Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Job Description

About the Role As a Manufacturing Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in optimizing production output by ensuring machinery operates at peak efficiency. You will utilize your mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot complex systems and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Operate high-speed production machinery while maintaining strict adherence to quality, waste reduction, and efficiency standards. Proactively identify and resolve mechanical malfunctions through precise equipment adjustments and diagnostic troubleshooting. Drive production excellence by developing and implementing innovative solutions to recurring operational challenges. Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and sharing best practices for machine operation. Maintain accurate production logs, including time tracking and output reporting, to ensure seamless shift transitions. Conduct rigorous product inspections to detect defects and perform necessary machine calibrations to maintain product integrity. Uphold a culture of safety and operational excellence by strictly following standard work procedures and facility housekeeping protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to perform equipment setups and changeovers. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues under pressure. Proficiency in clear written and verbal communication to coordinate effectively with team members. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and navigating industrial workspaces. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC machine operation and complex equipment setups. Advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Prior experience in a leadership or training capacity within a production setting.
