Job Description
Job Overview
- This position reports to the Form department supervisor. The responsibilities of an operator are:
- Run Form presses assigned, meet hourly production rates expected in the Form department, inspect items manufactured during production run visually and using test equipment, and record inspection information.
- The operator may be required to use a height gage to check airlift height and must learn to operate all measuring and test equipment used in the department.
- The operator is responsible for the upkeep of the measuring and test equipment in his/her work area and must maintain a clean workstation.
- Operators are also required to always follow safety requirements and follow written procedures while doing their jobs.
- Operators are expected to be punctual, conscientious, and honest while performing their tasks. All operators must go through an initial training period to be hired permanently at Duramatic.
- Operators must be willing to receive any cross-training that they are selected for, and subsequently be willing to work in any other department for which they have received training.
