Basic Job Responsibilities:
The Twisting MET Specialist is part of the Engineering Services team and works closely with twisting operators and Quality Control Technicians on multiple procedures. Must keep required documentation and communicate well among teams.
Job Requirements:
Operate, start up, maintain, and troubleshoot Jingwei twisting equipment to support safe, efficient production. Perform RPM, front roll speed, strobe cycle, calibration, and quality checks; maintain required documentation and logs. Repair or replace spindles, magnetic tension devices, twist belts, overfeed belts, and other components; complete preventive maintenance activities. Execute lot changes, gear setups, machine adjustments, and downtime tracking activities. Identify and correct off-quality conditions including soft twist, hard twist, barber pole, mixed yarn, greasy yarn, and stretched yarn. Serve as assignment leader as needed and support departmental training, standardization, and continuous improvement efforts. Support machinery maintenance audits, MTBF improvement initiatives, failure analysis, and spare-parts inventory control. Maintain waste tracking records and promote operational efficiency, quality, and waste reduction. Authorizes to stop or shut down any machine or spindle position when unsafe condition or off-quality product conditions are identified.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift as needed. Heavy lifting may be required for some tasks. The use of hand tools and computers are necessary.
Qualifications & Competencies:
