Pay Information Starting pay $37.13 - $42.43 per hour Job Purpose This position supports the maintenance of High Pressure Die Cast Dies.
This includes the support of other Die Service Technicians, Staff and Team Leaders, and working with Production and Engineering teams to improve die maintenance and part quality characteristics. Key Accountabilities Respond to equipment emergency downtime, troubleshooting for root cause and repair as needed Support weekend preventive maintenance and repair activity when needed Support plant shut down activity Support over time coverage when needed Support of the engineering group in short / long term projects Support root cause and countermeasure activity Document all die related activity in the equipment system (Maximo) Support training of other die service and other associates where needed Support of the engineering group in short and / long term projects

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Experience:
Preferred 2 years in the mechanical and/or die mold maintenance field - Co Op acceptableOther Job-Specific Skills:
Welding, Machining, Hand Finishing, Blueprint Reading Basic computer skills Strong decision-making skills and trouble shooting skills Working Conditions Work in production environment requiring personal protective equipment and lockout in manufacturing operation Working near molten aluminum, hydraulic oils, cutting lubricants Hands-on investigation and troubleshooting of product & die to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activity Working with hand/power tools, quality gauging and instrumentation 90% manufacturing lineside activity / 10% office environment 10-15 hours overtime per week Possible weekend or off shift support as necessary Travel 5% (domestic) What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?Total Rewards:
