SWING SHIFT OPPORTUNITY - 4
10's Monday-Thursday. Hours 2 pm - Midnight We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our PCD/CBN cutting tool business. The successful candidate will work closely with the manufacturing team to produce high-quality cutting tools for the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas industries. Responsibilities may include direct handling of products including during production, inspection checks and packaging. On the job training will be provided to bring new hires up to a proficient level. Manufacturing Technicians will work directly on the manufacturing floor. Need to be able to work in a dynamic environment and must be comfortable with frequent physical activity for extended periods of time. Comfort with operating production machinery is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain a variety of manufacturing equipment, including grinding machines, EDMs, and inspection equipment to produce PCD/CBN parts and cutting tools according to specifications. Simultaneously operate multiple pieces of equipment to produce products efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Conduct in-process inspections to ensure that parts and tools meet customer specifications and quality standards. Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production. Participate in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Use computer software to program and operate CNC machines to manufacture cutting tools. Understand and modify G-code programs for CNC machines to improve manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues. Work collaboratively with engineers, quality control personnel, and other departments to support new product introductions and process improvements. Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inspection records, and other documentation as required. Follow all safety regulations and company policies and procedures related to manufacturing and quality control. Continuously learn and develop skills to stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the PCD/CBN cutting tool industry. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Experience operating and maintaining grinding machines, EDMs, and other manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of CNC programming and operation using software such as AutoCAD/Solidworks/E2 or equivalent. Demonstrate time management. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment. Build quality into work. Ensure processes are consistent with quality objectives. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments. Experience with quality control processes and procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate production records. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:

Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
