This role ensures efficient production while meeting quality standards, safety requirements, and production targets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens
- Set up machines for production runs, including loading feeders, components, and programs
- Perform first article inspections and verify correct component placement
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed
- Inspect boards for defects such as misalignment, solder issues, or missing components
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment
- Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues and escalate when necessary
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce defects Qualifications
- Ability to read work instructions, diagrams, and basic schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Basic computer skills for machine interface and documentation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills for handling small components
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 40 pounds as needed
