$19.50 / hour Description Fernway's Production Technician I will be responsible for execution of production activities to manufacture Fernway products and support other operational teams, as needed.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Setup and Maintenance:
Set up, operate and maintain production equipment and machinery according to established protocols and safety guidelines. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspection, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Production Operations:
Execute production tasks, such as formulating, filling and packaging products, following standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor production processes, identify and address issues, and escalate complex problems to supervisors.
Quality Control and Assurance:
Conduct quality checks and inspections at various stages of the production process to ensure adherence to specifications and product standards. Document and report any deviations or non-conformities, and collaborate with the quality control team to implement corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies related to health, safety and environmental standards.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate production processes, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and propose and implement innovative solutions. Collaborate with management to optimize workflows, reduce waste and increase productivity.
Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately record production data in ERP system, including quantities produced, materials used, equipment maintenance activities, and any production issues or incidents. Prepare reports and documentation as required, ensuring timely and accurate information for analysis and decision-making.
Training and Knowledge-Sharing:
Participate in training to enhance technical skills and knowledge of production processes and equipment. Share best practices and provide guidance to new or less-experienced team members to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Workplace Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools and materials. Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to take on additional tasks such as warehouse management, deliveries/pickups, etc., on an as-needed basis Requirements 21+ years old with a State-issued Driver's License Experience in a high-volume service or production environment (preferred) Equipment maintenance & repair experience (preferred) Strong fine motor skills & comfortability working with hands/on feet all day Strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
