79/hour + $1.50 shift premium Day-one benefits eligibility for PTO and holiday pay Stable safety-focused team, low turnover Dedicated trainers to help you succeed What you'll do Operate shaving equipment in order to produce material meeting specifications of the customer; inspecting the material and adjusting the shaving equipment as necessary. Set up, change tooling, and operate shaver to remove material in order to meet the size and surface requirements of the customer or to remove mill seams and flaws from the supplier. Monitor quality and surface conditions of the material during the shaving process. Inspect the mounted wire for quality and surface conditions. Determine the amount of material to shave off and the increments in order to meet the specifications of the customer. Able to adjust tooling to proper shave depth using gage to set tooling. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with the parts of the shaving head, rollers, sanding head, sand paper, and wire path. Adjust and replace parts as necessary. Use hand micrometer to determine size. Operate fork lift to move large coils of wire. Maneuver coils, up to 3000 lbs. to prepare them for use on the shaver. Operate swager to create a point on the wire for entry into the shaver. Perform other duties as requested by management. What we're looking for 2 years of manufacturing experience is required. Hands-on technical experience, including but not limited to mechanical, machine shop, fabrication, audio-visual, quality control/assurance, maintenance, inspection, or engineering experience may be considered in lieu of manufacturing. Accurately record production data (spool size, wire size, shape of the wire, etc). Mechanical Aptitude Work Environment Fast-paced production environment. Work hours consist of 40 hours per week. Average weights in production range from 10
Maximum weights may exceed 80 lbs on occasion. Substantial reaching, bending, and pulling during shift. Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.
