Mon-Fri Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent required, BS in Biology or related Science preferred. Relevant manufacturing experience (1-3 Years). Analytical, scientific, and mechanical trouble shooting skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills. Strict attention to detail and safety. Ability to lift 35 pounds on an intermittent basis. Comprehensive understanding of aseptic process in daily activities. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of Good Documentation Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Basic awareness of quality improvement tools and MPS processes. Understanding and awareness of USDA regulations.
Note:
The position may require some overtime work, but that is very rare and is typically voluntary.
Responsibilities:
The manufacturing operation is made up of teams that carry out the production activities for the preparation and sterilization of equipment, preparation and sterilization of media components, fermentation of bacterial antigens, and downstream processing of bacterial antigens, blending of the antigens and other solutions to make a vaccine and filling operations to dispense the vaccine into final containers. The Sterile Filling Department is responsible for key processing activities in the filling on the vaccine into final containers. Department activities include cleaning, set-up sterilization of filling equipment, operation of autoclaves, disinfection of filling rooms and support areas, staging of sterile components for use in manufacturing and the packing of final product for next stage processing. This position will focus on packaging and component staging to support the filling team. This position requires knowledge of aseptic skills to ensure sterility of the final product and demonstrate good attention to detail to achieve a consistent error-free execution of daily job responsibilities while able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices. Physical requirements are minimal, but person will need to be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
