Job Duties Receive, prepare, sort, and set eggs for optimal incubation quality Load/unload egg shipments and supplies with power or pallet jacks Operate egg-handling equipment such as the Automatic Rack Transfer machine Clean and sanitize equipment and hatchery areas to meet quality standards Grade chicks, operate basket stackers, and prepare them for delivery Maintain accurate inventory and ensure eggs are rotated properly Perform in-ovo injection transfers with care to minimize breakage Use spray vaccination and cleaning systems to support hatchery health Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Comfortable operating machinery and material handling equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Ability to follow sanitation and biosecurity procedures Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset Requirements Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments. Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required. Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery. "Great shifts and decent pay." - Staffmark Production Associate What You Will Do As a Hatchery Production Technician you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations. Receive, prepare, and sort eggs for the purpose of setting a higher quality egg pack to the incubators- Prepare supplies and load backhauls ensuring clean supplies and maximizing backhaul ratio
- Maintain accurate inventories ensuring oldest eggs set first
- Operate the Automatic Rack Transfer machine in a safe manner while maximizing efficiencies
- Clean and disinfect buildings and equipment so that each will pass quality control bacterial level standards
- Pull hatcher racks, load chicks onto the separator, grade chicks, operate hatcher basket stackers and palletize serviced chicks
- Transfer eggs from incubators through In-Ovo injection equipment to hatchers while minimizing breakage and temperature shock to developing embryos
- Prepare egg sets using Automatic Rack Transfer machine and SST pallets or from other types of supplies, by hand or with vacuum operated egg shifter The Hatchery Production Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through production activities that help create quality finished products.
