Job Description

Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Plastics Flexaust, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of hose and ducting used in a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician with a background in plastics processing for our Amesbury, MA location. This position will work with the Production and Engineering teams to maintain and improve existing processes and procedures to ensure continued growth. This is a hands-on position that requires a wide range of skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
Validate new materials to meet cost and performance objectives. Work with sales department, engineering and customers to develop new products. Update and create process setup sheets, work instructions and procedures. Create / update BOM's and routes for MRP system (Microsoft D365). Manage / implement PPAP's and FAI's for new products. Troubleshoot processing issues with plastics extrusion equipment. Oversee and participate in R & D projects / new equipment assembly, installation and validations. Maintain equipment to ensure uptime. Develop process improvements to improve efficiency.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience working in a plastics processing facility. Strong knowledge of thermoplastics materials and processing. Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with quality systems, i.e. ISO, PPAPs, FMEA.
Competencies :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, critical and analytical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
